it would be great to be able to merge/dedup vendors and keep them merged as software is detected

for instance. 

  • Adobe Inc.
  • Adobe

 

same goes for software if I wanted to treat all versions of a software as one 

  • Adobe Acrobat 2019
  • Adobe Acrobat 2020 
  • etc

This would greatly improve the experience. The vendors list gets cluttered with a lot of repeat companies.

Managing software can also get a bit tricky when there can be slight variations in the name of an app. I would suggest is to allow us to create automation rules for how to automate the merging of software. E.g., Some software installs with a unique name but with a simple rule like “If Software Name Starts With <String> then Merge with <Existing Software Entry>. In some cases the name of an application or its path may vary even though it is the same product and version. E.g., BeyondTrust Remote Support Jump Clients all install with a unique name and path.

I would also like to have automatic ignore rules for some software.

    This would be so beneficial for us as organisation, we are dealing with this as well. we can build something with API's but having this supported by fresh would be awesome. 

     

    Unfortunately, no reaction from Fresh so far..
