I find it interesting that the new features that have been added in the 2-3 releases do not apply to the Blossom Plan. I read through these perky newsletters that boast about new features only to realize they are not supported in the mid-tier Blossom plan. This essentially translates to zero innovation to the mid-tier customer. Other than better formatting when you hover over a ticket title, I don't recall seeing any feature enhancements for a very long time.

Hi Owen,

Thanks for reaching out to us. While we keep enhancing Freshdesk as a product, we try our best to provide maximum value for a certain plan and at the same time ensure that admins are not overwhelmed by features that they may not need, hence reducing the simplicity / ease of using the product. We do this by observing typical patterns exhibited by accounts in a certain plan and accordingly map the features that they may find most useful while allowing us to scale in a sustainable way. To that effect, we keep making enhancements as mentioned in our release notes, but I understand that you may feel the want for certain features not available in your plan. We will consider this feedback in our strategy going forward.

Thanks,

Arvind.

I completely agree with Owen. We've been a LONG TIME supporter of Freshdesk but we're finding that the Blossom plan is being left behind, and competitors are adding higher level features at lower price points. Unfortunately this is making us look around at other solutions as there are certain features only available in the Estate plan that are now on our requirements list, and at prices more similar to the Garden plan. Being a startup, cash flow is tremendously important to us and we're OK with upgrading to the Garden plan, but going all the way to the Estate plan is just too much of a jump. It would be really nice to see some of the features (such as the ability to completely customize the portal - especially the open ticket page to include instructional text, and also dynamic questions) perhaps be offered a la carte for an extra dollar or two a month each.
