Currently, if someone is covering a teammate’s entire week of coverage and then they themselves need coverage for an hour or two, the last-entered coverage wipes out the rest of it and undoes the original coverage entirely.

It would be great if new coverage could slot in in on top of any existing shift coverages.

Example:  Person A is on call.  Person B offers to cover their shift, but Person C needs to cover for B for part of the shift.  Current state is that when C’s coverage is put in, the rest of the shift reverts to A so it’s A-C-A, rather than B-C-B.

There is a current workaround but it requires you to create 3 coverages. For example
A covers for B for entire week, C covers for A only on Wednesday.
You will need to create 3 coverages where A works from Monday & Tuesday, C works on Wednesday and A again works on Thursday till Sunday
