Any update on this thread from FD support? 


Hi everyone, 


My apologies for the delayed response to the thread. You will be able to paste in-line images in your replies. However, the drag and drop option for the images is currently not available.

Is this feature to past in-line images in the replies already released? It did not work for me when I tested it.

When will it be available?

Hello everyone!


Sorry for the slight misinformation. 


We are yet to address the capability of pasting in-line images in the reply editor. I have raised this as a Feature Request, but unfortunately do not have an ETA to promise as of now. 


Will surely keep you all updated, once we have some progress in these lines.

The ability to simply paste in an image from the clipboard is extremely valuable.

Hopefully this is being worked on.

Love all the other features of freshdesk!

Will not use a cloud based help desk without this feature.  Copy/Paste from the clipboard (both inline images and file attachments) is what makes email much, much easier.

I have tried this feature in IE and had trouble, but it has occasionally worked.  I've tried Chrome and it seems more reliable to paste information into a reply with an image. 

 

the ability to take instruction with screenshot and include them in a reply with cut and paste is invaluable for my team.  Most of my support involves taking a screenshot of the system and sending it to my customer.

Where is the insert image function on the actual templates to go out to our clients? we want to insert our logo and our branding but it looks like there is no option to do this.

Can we insert screenshots into our reply messages to clients? We need this ability as well. Using attachment system is not as helpful and fairly old school now.

We are working on enhancing our editor with the ability to cut and paste from the clipboard. I do have a solid ETA on this as yet but it is in our list of priorities.

That is great news Abishek!  I'm sure I speak for everyone in this thread that the faster this makes it into the systems the better as it is literally an every ticket pain item for many of us.

Hi Abishek,

 

Just checking on this feature.  I seem to be going backwards in this functionality.  Today I discovered that a ticket that had screenshots in it yesterday are no longer showing in my ticket in either Chrome or IE today.

 

Can you please update us on an estimate of when this feature will be complete?

We are yet to take this up for development. We will be taking this up soon. I unfortunately don't have an ETA as yet. When this moves to development, I will update the thread here.

Out of interest, why hasn't this been put forward for development yet?  It seems to be one of the most requested features, and has been so for 2 years.  We're all crying out for it!

I must say.  This is one of the complaints I get most from agents using Freshdesk.  They often need to cut & paste screenshots into the reply and not being able to is really becoming a problem for us.

This is still a work in progress. Can't comment on the release date as yet.

I can't help but notice that this request goes back 2 years..


I know that implementing features requires programming, which in turn takes time; but it's been almost 2 years!   There are 3 pages of conversation going on regarding this and 55 people would like to have this feature.  Shouldn't it be one of freshdesk's priorities?

We will be taking this feature up for development next month. We are currently working on some critical bugs in redactor. I'll update this thread when I have more information.

Hi,


Our company just started using Freshdesk and we've had an overwhelmingly negative reaction to the lack of this functionality.  So much so that we're wondering if this really is the right tool for us.  Please keep us posted as often as possible about the progress on this as it is easily the single biggest issue with see with the tool right now.
