Permissions on top Level Forum / Solution Categories

Unless I have missed something, it seems that it is not possible to set permissions or visibility on the top level Forum or Solution Categories/Folders

For example, I would like to create a Solution Category visible only to agents. Using the current configuration I can create folders under the solution category and assign specific permissions to those but not to the parent category itself. Presumably Customers viewing from the portal would then see a Category Title without any apparent content (empty), but it would be preferable that they see nothing at all.

Or would the Parent category automatically be hidden if none of the child folders/topics are actually visible?

I think this: "Or would the Parent category automatically be hidden if none of the child folders/topics are actually visible?"

I just checked as a normal user that doesn't have access to a couple of the categories and they don't seem to show up.

I would like the ability to set permissions for the top level solution categories. Currently, we want Customer A to see all solutions in Category 1, but not those in Category 2. We have to edit the permissions for all folders in Category 1 to allow visibility, and this can take a long time where there are lots of companies to add.

All folders inside a Category would have the same permissions, so it makes sense to inherit those from the top-level category.
