In FreshService Probe you can add vSphere credentials.

Currently if you scan a Vmware ESXi Server with the FreshService Probe via vSphere credentials it will only add THE INDIVIDUAL ESXi Server to the scanned result INSIDE the Probe. It will not populate in the FreshService Asset database.

This was confirmed by FreshWorks case id: 12885984

I cannot believe this is intended to work like this since its useless.

Scan:

Result in asset database:

Request:

  • please implement Vmware vSphere scanning correctly
  • all VMs inside of vSphere should be added automatically to the FreshService Asset database

p.s.: I still believe this is a bug….
