I have for example two charts on the same dashboard or a report in the analyze module, and the same attribute that is grouped by for example status. I want to be able to predefine that the same status will have the same color in the two diagrams. For example a configuration table that I predefine that status = Open always will be in a particular color. If I have not predefined a specific color, the application can choose an own color but not some of the colors that I already have used for other status.

Today this status can have two different colors for two diagrams and this is not user friendly.

I agree, I want to know that a color is associated with a specific status so that I can reliably look for that color when filtering tickets.

If the color is not present I could safely ignore that ticket “queue”.

I swear I had an idea for something like this already posted. Simply the ability to save a color swath that is set in analytics so that it can be used everywhere would be huge for allowing brand colors to be represented across all dashboards. If this were made available from a central spot, it would be even better equipped to handle rebranding and the like without having to go in and update every report. Update the values at one point and it propagates out to everything that uses that assigned color template!
