In GMail and other email clients, any image attachments are displayed with a thumbnail for quick preview.
This is a very important feature for a helpdesk as customers will attach several images to illustrate their issue and it is difficult to refer to the correct image without opening all attacments.

Please prioritize this. My customers send multiple photos of damages and other documentation. I need to be able to select the appropriate photo to open without having to download and look at each one separately.
Please add the same functionality to the forums. If the attachment is an image, a preview should appear in the thread and clicking on the preview should allow for viewing the original in the browser. (with the ability to move next/previous for multiple images) This is a common user experience for image attachments.

Mark, I was talking about the web version of Freshdesk. In the iOS app you can tap on the images to preview them, and even share them or download them to your Camera Roll in the next screen.
Shankar, I am confused. What am I doing wrong?
(1) Image previews do not appear to be working in the web version of Freshdesk. I tested it on IE11 and Firefox 38.8.0 and I have attached screenshots from each. There are no thumbnails for attachments, just icons based on file type.
(2) You mention that users can tap to preview images individually in iOS. OK, but that is describing the problem not the solution... the problem is that customers will attach several images to illustrate their issue and it is difficult to refer to the correct image without opening all attachments. Having to tap each image individually is the problem.
Hi Mark, I apologize for misunderstanding this. Earlier, when an image attachment gets clicked, Freshdesk would download the attachment right away. We are now showing previews of image attachments before users can choose to download them.
I now understand your problem about the iOS app not showing previews. I will add this to my backlog of items for the iOS app, but cannot promise anything now.
Shankar, I think there was a misunderstanding about the requirement for this feature. I will try to clarify.
If several images have been attached to illustrate an issue, we need thumbnails to be displayed which allow all the images to be previewed at once. With a thumbnail listing of images, the relevant image can be opened without having to open all attachments.

It seems bizarre this standard and obvious feature has been implemented yet.
A basic thumbnail for images, at least, is a real must. Please make it happen.
