I don't know if there is a way to do this but I think that for someone that uses Multiple Products (hence multiple domains) doesn't want that the end-user select the product in the front end. That doesn't make a lot of sense being in siteA.com and be able to choose siteA or siteB from that dropdown.

At least, the visibility of this field should be optional.

Stragely I just found the option to make it invisible to users in the ticket field list. I would swear it was not there hours ago.

However, when I preview the widget, the option is still there...

Hi Mario

Glad you found the visible to users option :) You can enable/disable the fields in portal or make them mandatory for users as well.

Thanks
Vijay

Yes, I managed to see it but as I said, in the widget preview, that button is still there. Didn't test with website yet, but either way, the preview is wrong.

Okay, I think I got it and this should be moved to BUG section.

Try to reproduce this:

- If the option "Can edit the field" is turned ON, the field always shows up in the front end, EVEN IF "Visible to customers" is turned off

Looks like this still hasn't been fixed?

  • When you set a field to "displayed to the customer" but not "the customer can edit" then the field is hidden in the feedback widget.
  • When you select "the customer can edit" but turn off "displayed to the customer" all boxes are unchecked and the field is not available in the form (also see my ticket about hidden fields: https://support.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/296723)
