Provide company information during Single Sign On

We've implemented the simple SSO procedure and it's working great, but what's missing is the ability to pass company information.  As part of our infrastructure we know what companies a user is part of so we want to be sure when someone logs in for the first time they get associated with the right company and can immediately view all tickets for that company (so we'd want to pass that option as well)


Conceptually, I'd hope we could pass pretty much all of the fields along that are used as part of the profile (phones, title, etc.) so that the FreshDesk contact data stays in sync with our main database.

Hi Kendall,


We are currently in the stages of our project implementing the same thing. I think at this stage we are looking to:

- create the user

- retrieve the Freshdesk Contacts and store in our CRM the ID's of these contacts

- Link the user to the company in our CRM


Occasionally do the following

- Create the company in Freshdesk if it does not have a Freshdesk ID against it

       - Create the company

       - Retrieve the company ID and update our CRM

- Occasionally check and push the Company ID's for User ID's that do not have company ID's in our local replica of the Freshdesk contacts database.


Would be nice to create and retrieve in all one go!

We use Highrise as our CRM (at least at the moment - it's somewhat adrift at the moment since 37Signals is looking to get rid of it) and have previously integrated from our central system of record to Highrise to keep them in step.  Freskdesk has built-in integration with Highrise to let us query over to it which is helpful as far as it goes (it appears to just be based on email address, pretty much like Highrise is). 


We don't have a way of keeping the company information in sync in Freshdesk which is worrisome to me, and the basis of the request.  We may end up having to code something so as data is changed in our main system we trigger an update event out to Freshdesk.

I found out there is a way :) Just add the parameters to the SSO script.
