It would be great if there was a feature to schedule reoccuring tickets, i.e. for scheduled maintenance every x months/ weeks

This way scheduled activity can be put into an agents workflow and statistics for activity and work levels will not be reduced for routine maintenance.

Can we get this soon? I have seen a few people request this

I would also love to see this implemented

Would love to see this, I think you have it in Fresh Service so should be pretty easy to port it

+1. This would save me a lot of time! We have standard sets of tasks that repeat every week and month.

Hello,

I'd love to discuss on the various scenarios where you'd like to create recurring tickets and what actions would the agent perform once the ticket is created. Plotting down the entire workflow will help us in understanding the need & scope of the feature.

If you're just looking to automate a reminder for a specific task, a simple recurring ticket creation can be achieved using your Google Calendar or any other calendar apps. You can just create a recurring event in Google calendar and add your support email address in the guest list. Google Calendar sends notification emails to guests before the event and you'd start receiving them as tickets in the helpdesk. You can also use a Dispatchr' rule to automate ticket assignment for specific groups or agents in the helpdesk.

Cheers!

Hi Aravind

We have daily tasks we perform that need to be ticketed for customers to report on to ensure we are delivering the service they signed up for. We also use it for scheduling internal tasks that need to be carried out which affect customers but are reported in a different way.

We currently do this via Zapier using their scheduler functionality and we actually have to pay for this service and this is the only functionality we use it for.

FreshService seems to have this functionality so you have the codebase already, we just want it in Freshdesk

Hello @David

Thanks for sharing your case here. We have recently introduced the Scheduled events endpoint for Serverless apps using which you can create a one-time or recurring schedules. Serverless apps are your typical background apps that execute on a server instead of the front-end component. More about this here.

Cheers!

Realistically that looks like I might need to do some coding so would much rather it be made available via the interface as it is in Freshservice.

This would be very helpful to have for all the reasons above. +1

Same here, this would be helpful but I can't do coding myself.
