Replace text in multiple knowledge base articles?

I'd like to be able to change the same text string (including markup/formatting) in multiple articles in our Freshdesk knowledge base.

For example, if we use a URL in a lot of articles and that URL needs to be updated down the road. Or if our company changes something used broadly, like the our company name, phone number, address, etc.

Does anybody else need this?

No comments from others out there? Doesn't someone else need this?

Hello,

You can edit the article template under Admin -> Portals -> Edit portal -> Portal pages -> Article view section. This acts as a skeleton page where you can control how articles are displayed across the portal. I'd suggest you to define a div here and add the url or the standard information that you'd like to be displayed on all the articles on the portal.

Cheers!

That's not what I requested at all — it only addresses an example I provided.

The reason this is not solved is demonstrated by this example:

  • Let's say my company changes the way they write a product name. That can't be handled by a template change as it could be used inline across any number of knowledge base articles.

I'm glad you guys wrote a template system, but that's not what this request is for.

Please re-open this request. It is incorrectly marked "Implemented."

Actually, the example I gave said "in a lot of articles" not "in all articles" so a single template is not even a solution to the example I provided.
