Request Chat window pop-up versus embedded in web browser

Are there any options to have the chat window pop-out into its own window instead of being embedded into the web browser window? We used LiveChat previously and now that this feature is not an option, our customers and agents are both very unhappy with our new chat program. We provide software support and often require clients and agents to jump around from our software to web browser and to other programs also so having the chat window only available from within the web browser is very incontinent and often causes our clients to not realize we have posted a response which in turns leads their chats to time out.  Is there anything we can do about enabling or adding a pop-out chat window that is independent of the web browser.
