Any news on this? This is the only critical feature missing for us to start using Freshdesk.

This is definitely in our roadmap. Unfortunately we don't have a timeline as yet. We plan to take up in the next few quarters.

I will be a little arrogant and suggest a design for this. 


1) In the customer set up screen allow more than one company to be listed in the company field - PIPE DELIMITED


2) Then when user signs in and look up is done to find what tickets they can have access to :

Instead of "where ticket company = user company" change to "Where ticket company is in user company list"


Probably stuff your guys already know.   but for what it is worth :)

Hey guys,


This is starting to cause us some real pain. We need this feature otherwise i'm changing to ZenDesk.


Can someone please provide an update on this?

I'm waiting for the solutions for the same issue related here. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT REQUEST! I'm evaluating the software and we attend companies that have a lot of branches offices and the same Contact person.

This feature would be critical as many of our consultants needs to be able to be assigned to multiple companies so they can see/interact with the tickets for all of their companies in the same account.

Glad to see it is now happening but I hope it will not be too long in coming - was about to look for new system as this was causing us considerable problems. Will hang in a bit longer now - but the clock is ticking.

So glad to see this thread, and the promise of movement.  We've been trying to come up with all sorts of creative solutions to work around this and frankly, none of them have been good.  Building API integration now, so it'd be great if the specs and methodology could be released ASAP even if the product and UI isn't totally ready so those of us w/ dev work to do can be ready to start using this feature as soon as it comes out of the gate.

@Grant - The feature being requested for in this thread is to have multiple companies associated with a contact, the feature you have is for multiple emails per contact.


@Everyone - This has still has not gone to development as yet. We are still working through some other features at the moment. This is in our roadmap for this year and will be taken up soon. I will definitely post more updates as we have more information.

@AbishekThis is quite discouraging, as we're wanting to go live with Freshdesk, but here I see that a year ago and then again two months ago you say this was in development, but now you're saying it isn't in development.

While it's baffling that this feature would take so long to roll out given it's seeming simplicity and the demand, what is more frustrating is that instead of acknowledging that Freshdesk hasn't decided it's a priority yet, the solution seems to be giving false hope and keeping people on the hook. I'm not getting any warm and fuzzy feelings about this and now have trouble believing the information being provided. Without having taken the product live to our customers yet, I'm not sure where to go.

I have had a few emails direct with Freshdesk on this, each time I have been told it will happen "in this quarter". 


My personal experience with freshdesk has been that the product does what it should, but the lack of progress and seemingly weird choice of features to include above what many people are crying out for suggests that there is another agenda at play. Therefore I am looking to replace Freshdesk with another provider ASAP.

I agree, it is really frustrating to see that you don't take one of the most popular feature requests more seriously, and keep giving us false hope. Actually, this makes us really unsure on how serious Freshdesk is in this market. We were waiting for this feature to arrive in Q1 as promised, but now that we see that this isn't happening anytime soon, we have to reconsider using Freshdesk.

I apologize for any miscommunication from my end. I said that we would be taking this up for development this quarter. I'm sorry if I conveyed that we would implement it in Q1. The development effort has now moved to Q2. We focussed a lot of our Q1 efforts on scaling our application as we continue to grow. We will be adding a lot more features in the coming quarters. This feature in particular is complicated to implement and requires some database and architectural changes from our end. I understand the need for this and we will definitely be taking this up soon. This feature is one our priority.
