Hello guys,


I've just discovered your portal, and spent some good time configuring a credible alternative to our horrible service provider portal.

I find the features and general tools incredibly easy to use and well made, and being able to assign the same contact/email address to many customer (which in our case are more solutions than customers) really is the only thing that could prevent us going to prod with Freshdesk at the moment...


Please keep us posted and get this one done asap, I can't wait to be in a position to push this product to our management ...

Hi,


I see this is coming and wanted to ask for a slight twist on it to solve other issues too.


What I would like to see is the current company field and checkbox to view all tickets to remain with one company and be called Primary Company for example, then add another company field and checkbox called maybe secondary companies and allow multiple companies to be selected here.


This way you could have the contact not see all their own companies tickets but see all other companies tickets.


My use case is for staff that are not agents and so shouldn't see all other staffs tickets but are account managers for other companies so should be able to see those companies contacts tickets (Rather than be cc'ed on them which would create too many emails).


Of course the best solution would be like the email field where you can add line by line (Repeat) and have a company and checkbox per line so you could decide per company which that contact can see all tickets for (See attached).

We have made good progress in associating multiple companies for a contact. We are still eyeing March/April deadline.


@Daniel

Thank you for sending the screenshots and explaining your case clearly. We realise that more granular permission on a per company basis may be useful. Although the initial version will not include a check box to "see all tickets from this company" per company, this can certainly be looked into in future enhancements.

Thank you for the update Janani.  This is great news!  My organization is anxiously awaiting the implementation of this feature, as it is vital to our business operations.


Are we still looking at March/April 2016 to associate one contact to multiple companies?

This topic was created 4 years ago, I wouldn't recommend counting on it for future planning.

But I'm not a Freshdesk engineer so what do I know.


Well sadly we can't rollout in production without this feature, if no one from the product team can produce a firm date for the feature, that is sometime soon we'll consider another product then ...

Please let us know the progress of this feature and when we can expect it to be rolled out, we have been waiting quite a while now? As our customer base and band of external contractors grow, this feature is becoming more and more critical for us every month. An update at least would be appreciated.
