We develop bespoke software for our clients, i.e each client is different and has different requirements. We want them all to access the helpdesk but we only want to show them the specific solutions and forums applicable to them.

I realise I can make this work with multiple products, by making each client a 'product'.  However, I'm not able to 'assign' a specific 'Company' (in Customers) to a portal, meaning that users from one company could log into another company's portal if they knew the URL.

I'd therefore like the ability to make certain solutions and forums 'customer specific'.  If I could also create different ticket forms for each of these different companies I'd be a happy camper!

Not by company, but by "category company". Then we can associate some rights with a category company like customers or resellers.

Yes this is a problem for us also - we are using products, but we don't want one company to see the other company's products when opening a ticket. Any solution?

We do this as well, this would make the product delineation much more helpful.

we should filter by paid and unpaid customers

We are waiting for this feature so that we can use the Customer Portal with our customers.  We have a Knowledgebase ready to go.  Need ability to restrict portal access to paid customers and to de-activate contacts as needed. .

We'd also would like to restrict access to the portal only to authorized users.  Is there a way to do this?

Hello,

Visibility could be set to logged in users or all users within the folder where it could be changed according to your requirement. Another alternative is to set user permission for the solutions in Admin -> Portals -> settings -> user permissions -> who can view the solution articles.

In addition to this, the visibility can be set at folder level wherein you can restrict it to specific companies.

Cheers!
