Return to same place on list after opening and viewing a ticket

We have a long lists of open items.  Sometimes I am reviewing a series of old items located on the 4th or 5th page.  When I open a ticket and then exit back to the list, I am returned to the page 1 of the list.  I would like to exit the ticket and go back to the place that I just left.
