Hey all,

Requests for the ability to create scheduled/recurring tickets in Freshdesk have come up before, but Freshdesk won’t implement it unless enough people ask for it.

There was a thread here from years ago where many people wanted it, but the thread doesn’t seem to load any more: https://support.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/312856/page/1?url_locale=

I am requesting the following feature in Freshdesk:

When creating a ticket, have the ability to:

  1. Schedule it, i.e. it gets ‘created’ on the date/time set
  2. (more importantly) have the ability to create a recurring schedule where a new ticket matching the template is created each time that recurrence occurs

For example:

New ticket - Weekly Review of Resource Allocation

Schedule - Create ticket every Friday at 15:00

or

New Ticket - Monthly Patching of Systems

Schedule - Create ticket on the third Tuesday of each month at 09:00

or

New Ticket - Process Staff Leaver Account

Schedule - Create single ticket on 15/04/22 at 17:00

This is a native feature in Freshservice, and the same sort of functionality would work in Freshdesk:

If this is a feature you would like, then PLEASE comment here to show Freshworks there’s demand for it.

Cheers,

Chris

I’d like this too. As a workaround, I’m using flow in office 365 to schedule emails that are sent at a set time to create the tickets.

Cheers. I looked at doing it with Power Automate too, but found the scheduling options very awkward. Setting something like “the third Tuesday of each month” seemed overly complex and unreliable. I’ll give it another crack.

Same question here. The basic reminders can be set via Power automate; however, more complex tickets including child tickets (which is needed in our case) cannot be scheduled via a third-party route.

Definitely +1 on this one!

This is a very basic feature that is missing in Fresh Desk. Almot all other ticketing systems I have used in the past have this as a standard feature  - Come on Freshdesk development listen to the market out thre we really need this.

Upvoted as I came up against this issue too, and logged it in ideas at some point last year

My question is also related to this topic.

Interested in this as well.  We use Freshdesk for internal support and would like to use it for schedule maintenance tasks.

Hi all,

I’m super excited to announce that we’ve just launched the Recurring Tickets for Freshdesk app on the Freshworks Marketplace.

Freshdesk Recurring Tickets Integration | Freshworks Marketplace

You can create daily, weekly, or monthly schedules to create tickets.

What’s more is that you can configure multiple actions to execute during every schedule.

It’s available right now on for $29/month.

Cheers,

Arun Rajkumar

Disappointing. Core functionality which is a paid add on? Come on Freshworks, we can do better than this
