We are staring with freshdesk next week and we found a problem with searching the tickets: the system does make a difference between accents and no accents.
This is the first application or website I see that acutally does this differenciation, as in Spanish e.g. a lot of words have accents like for example reenvío, dirección, electrónico, está ... and so on... the problem is that most of the people use this, but some in email (especially writing from a smartphone) just don't use them...
If I
search for "José" I don't see the results of "Jose" and the other
way round.
Looking in this forus I see referals to the use of elasticsearch... if this i sused should be really easy to strip teh accents at the time of search...
