I’m rolling out new workspaces, and it would be great if the workspace could be selected from the service catalog so it filters the service items to only those in that workspace.

Otherwise, items from all workspaces show up, which looks messy and confusing for users

This makes sense to me when building an multi workspace system, you could potentially have a large number of catalog items. We have nested solution folders so why not nested categories.  Another example of a feature rushed out half completed. :(

Nesting service categories means you could have a top level for the workspace then sub categories to allow users to filter.

That makes a lot of sense. Having the catalog filter automatically based on the selected workspace would definitely keep things cleaner and less confusing for end users. Right now, showing items from all workspaces can feel cluttered, especially if the lists are long.

Might be worth raising this as an enhancement request with the product team — it seems like a small change that could really improve usability.

Hi JorgeR,

We set up the Catalog Category using the workspace name, and it’s working really well. Each workspace has its own catalog, and within that, we added the Category as the workspace name. This makes it easy for users to filter and find what they need.
