Show company/contact notes while viewing ticket

The /Contacts tab allows you to enter notes and/or background information for a company/contact. So far I can't see this being of much use since you have to enter the contact/company view to see them (which reduces their utility).


This feature request is to have these visible on the Tickets screen (including New Ticket)  and display the company/contact information. For example a note like "Don't ever ask if it's plugged in!!" isn't much use unless it's visible on the ticket.

Here's my official +1 on this. This is an ideal feature for cases like Keith presented. Having a quick guide for things to do or not to do would be helpful - especially when creating a ticket when on the phone with someone or giving someone a call and working through the issue with them.


Having the ability to make the notes visible for the contact or company would be great on the sidebar in a ticket, and being able to move it wherever on that sidebar would help as well.


I think that a reasonable solution would be that  Freshdesk posts a sample App that can be used for such a purpose and which each customer could then tailor to their individual needs.

Thanks for the great idea! In a few weeks from now, we will be releasing a feature that will enable you to build a customised contact card on the ticket page. Admins will be able to specify the contact / company fields that are most important to an account for quick access and these fields will be shown on the ticket page for an agent to view / edit on the fly. unfortunately the Requester Widget doesn't solve the stated problem, as it is note possible to add the contact notes to the widget at the moment.

@Thomas The Requester Widget allows you to add or modify the About field for contacts. This can be used to store a quick note about the contact. Did you give this a try before?


We recently revamped the contact/company notes section with the ability to add attachments. Are you referring to this section not being available on the requester widget on a ticket?

Thank you, @Thomas. Adding the notes section to the ticket details page is definitely in our plans. You can probably suggest this as a new idea on the community and see how others are reacting to it.
