There is currently no way to add a proper redirect from one solution / article to another.  As new articles are created to replace old ones, to consolidate several old ones, etc, redirecting the old URL to the new URL of the solution becomes important for usability and SEO.

Please add a method to redirect one solution / article URL to a new solution / article URL.

I dont see that this is currently an option still. Im assuming we will need to depend on things like Varnish or other means? Actually, do ANY suggestions, ever, from customers get implemented? Just curious for the future if suggestions are a waste of time or not. We are all professionals here and most suggestions I have seen would certainly accent Freshdesk. Id love to see a redirect manager added if possible.

Redirects were essential to our knowledge base success when we were using Wordpress.  I would like this feature as well, and am surprised it doesn't already exist.

There”s absolutely no 301/302 handling in FreshDesk. @Steve- no they never implement customer requested features - ever. FreshDesk tech support is generally pretty dreadful ... manned by droids. I would avoid the platform entirely and just use ZenDesk. For example - waiting over two years for two factor auth - waiting for them to fix iframe in iframe bugs - SEO is abysmal - your site will never spider properly nor rank - sitemap.xml constantly gets a 404 in Google Search Console - CAPTCHA unusable ... turn it on ... no one can sign up ... turn it off ticket system full of spam Been on the platform for 6 years. Planning to move ...

SEO is valuable to any business, something like this works against that so Freshdesk loses another point for benefits of use.Its a real shame too. After years of posts there is still no BYO SSL capability which pretty much everyone offers for free, no forwarding, these are simple things that should exist to remain within some kind of competition,

Freshdesk Dev's, at the least, basic of the basic of the basic, just add the ability in KBA creation to manually add a meta refresh that is then passed to a dynamic header variable. Please impress the hell out of us and come up with something. Redirects are not brain science by any means. Your developers should be able to do this blindfolded.

I don’t know why this is archived.  It’s still a feature that would have great benefit to your customers...and shouldn’t be hard to add.  Even if you don’t want to add 30x handling, how about <meta> as someone suggested, or even JavaScript redirect.  We are left having to make our customers click through a link - hardly good UX.
