@BenRose. Dont hold your breath. I opened this topic 5 years ago and have not heard a peep about it since - apart from the multitude of customers that say they want it.

+1. We have multiple products that share a common core. Yes, we can create a category for the common items and have it show in the different portals, but it would be better if we could select specific articles.

Hi Smriti and Sajesh,
I am a user of Freshdesk services. I would really like to have the above idea into the product. I can see the conversation is almost 5 years old. Has there been any update on it?

I have to say the changes to the layout and management of the Knowledge Base in 2019 were highly disappointing and did nothing to address the fact that often a solution applies to multiple categories. It would be great to have a choice between organizing the knowledge base in a folder structure or a tag structure. They already have the ability to Tag articles. It wouldn't be that hard to go to the solutions page and be presented with an alphabetical listing of the available Tags and then be shown all the articles with that tag. An article then be tagged with as many tags as it needs.

Also adding my opinion to this - would be extremely useful and arguably a necessity. Sad to see this discussion has been going for 5 years.

Adding my voice to the need for this! I've been building out our Knowledge Base, and have run into this need multiple times. As others said, since we are adding tags to kb articles, those could be utilized to show related articles if your underlying structure won't accommodate it. Picking able to customize the KB landing page would be great, to highlight new articles as well as a "frequently viewed" section.

Adding my voice for this as well. (Actually a second time, since it didn't post the first.)

I'm setting up our knowledge base and have run into this need multiple times. Since we're adding tags to all articles, it makes sense to be able to display articles by their tags. If this doesn't work in your category/folder structure, allow us to customize our KB landing page, to show articles by tags, as well as highlight new or frequently viewed articles.
