Dear Freshdesk Team,


we make heavy use of the forum and our customers also like it very much, because customers can help other customers too.

Recently we have seen a lot of companies are using https://www.discourse.org/ as a forum software which has some nice features.


We would like to see the following features in Freshdesk Forums too:

  • tag users e.g. @username (this should also send email notification to the user)
  • Deeplink for specific forum posts and replies using a Share-button (example)
  • Endless scrolling (see example) and maybe jump to the last reply within a topic automatically
  • quote text of a specific reply and automatically hightlight it and allow to jump to the reply directly.
  • more visual appealing like button (a heart symbol :) )

The alternative would be an integration of Discourse into Freshdesk with Single-Sign-On, so that our Freshdesk Customers are automatically signed-in.

+1 , Discourse is the #1 forum in the world, open source, and has a nice API with POSTman prebuilt templates.

For us the forum is a very important support channel - more than tickets. 


Hi I think Freshdesk could work better on Integrations. I see an immediate need for Discourse and Aha integrations at my company. I think this is a weak link in Freshdesk. Zendesk offers much more integrations. Using 3rd party tools for these kinds of integrations is a "NO GO" route for most...It is an overhead....


These are great ideas, would love to see them implemented as well.
