I reported this through chat, but thought I’d post about it here.  The descriptive wording for the “Submit a ticket” box on the customer portal site is horrible and should be changed ASAP.

Currently says:

“Describe your issue by filling up the support ticket form”

Better wording would be:

“Describe your issues when completing the support ticket form”

An even better option would be to give permission for admins to insert their own wording.

To be honest, I am surprised that the FreshDesk team hasn’t taken this request more seriously. It is downright embarrasing and something that could be fixed in a matter of a few seconds.

I was told it was change-able and then figured out not with the Growth Plan. I submitted this same ticket. This is basic grammar.

This wording "Describe your issue by filling up the support ticket form" doesn't make sense in the English language.

Would love to see Freshdesk change this to "Describe your issue by completing the support ticket form."

I’m glad it isn’t just me.  I’ve submitted my request several ways, plus via direct message. I guess that even though I’m paying close to $1000/year, it isn’t enough to take 5 minutes to correct a simple sentence.

This is a minor, minor change and should take < 1 minute to push out. It doesn’t look good on us as vendors since we have the portal branded. It makes it look like we created the sentence.

I agree. When our clients see the sloppy grammar I worry that they will wonder if it is a reflection of our work.

It has been ½ a year and still no effort to correct the grammar on a single line of text? Very disappointing.

I completely understand your concern. The English translation makes no sense. On a side note, we have the same problem with the German translation. We are a new customer from Germany and noticed (too late) the major translation errors in German language. I have already lost a lot of time writing emails to support. Obviously they are not willed to work on such basics with the developers. Instead they prefer to release new features. Too bad.

It does stink discovering such easily corrected grammar issues after making the commitment to use the platform.

I think it is time for me to create another support ticket about this.  They did finally correct a different spelling error I reported many months ago.
