Clicking the link just takes me to to the App Admin screen.

Do I have to uninstall the current version?

If I upgrade our JIRA integration app to the new version, will I lose all my current JIRA ticket links?

@Craig@Dean The new JIRA plus app can be installed separately without having to uninstall the previous version. At the moment, the existing JIRA issues aren't automatically ported over to the new app. I'll check with the team if we can facilitate this.

Cheers!

Got to be able to maintain the current Jira links to tickets. This is a showstopper issue.

Agreed, @Craig. I've reached out to the team and we'll find a way to get these synced in the new app. I'll keep you posted!

Cheers!

@Aravind, I tried running both old and new JIRA integration apps concurrently, but it may have caused a conflict. One of the new features in the new JIRA Plus app is being able to define multiple JIRA accounts in your Freshdesk. This would be a very useful feature for us, because we have different project teams on separate JIRA accounts. But so far, I have not been able to define more than 1 single JIRA account. I have a ticket open with Freshdesk support, but they haven't been able to resolve this issue for the past 2 weeks.

I thought maybe running both JIRA apps may be causing the issue. So I first manually moved all our old JIRA links to the new JIRA Plus app. Then I uninstalled the old JIRA app. I logged out, then logged back in. I'm still unable to add additional JIRA accounts to our Freshdesk. Then Freshdesk support suggested I uninstall the new JIRA Plus app and reinstall. That would remove all our JIRA links!

Because I was desperate to get this feature working, I agreed to try that. Luckily, the new JIRA Plus app automatically adds a tag to the ticket with the JIRA issue ID that it's linked to. But I still had to go back and manually re-establish the links to JIRA for each FD ticket. Needless to say, that was a big pain! I encountered another bug that caused multiple JIRA issue ID tags to be added to every ticket I was updating. The extraneous tags didn't pertain to any of the tickets they were being automatically added to. To top it off, the uninstall/reinstall solution didn't work either.

Has anyone in the community been able to define more than one JIRA account in the new JIRA Plus app?

We were in the process of upgrading from Blossom to Estate plan, but I'm holding off until we know for sure that this JIRA integration works as expected. Right now, I'm very disappointed.

Yes our solution works with multiple JIRA instances. Please install this app

Hi all, is there any chance the public notes that are created whenever for example the JIRA status gets changed, would actually notify the requester and CC? It's actually only a public note, whithout any notification, which our clients would actually want.

Hi Veronique Svitková

Good Morning,

Your Question regarding Freshdesk JIRA “is there any chance the public notes that are created whenever for example the JIRA status gets changed, would actually notify the requester and CC? It's actually only a public note, without any notification, which our clients would actually want."

Answer: - Yes it`s possible through our App.

You can install the App from the link below.

JIRA have change it's standard and token is now the way to go, so the IntegrateCloud Freshdesk-JIRA integration App doesnt work ....

Only JIRA plus should work but now it just broke from last week.

ok.We will get it fixed.

Love the new Jira Plus app, but we after we installed it, all our past tickets lost their link to their Jira issues. Anyway to bring those links back into those tickets with the new Jira Plus (without manually adding them back in - thousands of them).

Is there any way to add reporters and assignee?  Currently we can only select the user who setup the app

We are experiencing the same problem.  Something broke the JIRA Plus app, because it used to list all the members of the project in JIRA.  Now the reporter and assignee drop down lists are blanks with only the JIRA admin at the bottom of the list.  It's been like this for the past couple weeks.  Is Freshworks planning to rollout a fix?

I submitted a tech support ticket for this bug 4 weeks ago and it's still broken!  Our agents in Freshdesk can't select any reporter or assign the JIRA ticket to anyone other than the JIRA admin.  Tech support for Freshdesk is really lacking.

Excellent! My "send comment to Jira" option was included!!! Because not every private comment needs to be sent. This is huge time saver so I don't have to copy/paste everywhere.

Now, if we install this, will it preserve the current Jira links to our support tickets? That was not the case with the switch from the first plugin to the current release.

Thanks

Craig

yes it should preserve it

I just realized that this is not published by Freshworks. But my question still stands. Is there a way to preserve the current Jira plugin's links so that they are available in this new plugin?

  • Contributor
  • October 17, 2019

yes it will preserve it but we will have to import it in our DB.

Please create a ticket here https://integratecloud.azuredesk.co/SupportHome/SubmitRequest.aspx

and we can get the ticket list from you and import it in our plugin so the switch to our plugin would work the same as before.

yes you contact us and we will import your FD ticket links in our plugin
