Hi,

when someone mentions my name in a ticket discussion, I get an e-mail notification. Is there any way to turn this off?

I tried to do this by going to Admin -> E-mail notifications but discussion notifications are not on the list there.

Thanks for answering,

Hello Kristyna!

I am Dhivya - Product Manager, Team Huddle.

Currently, there is no way to turn off email notifications for Team Huddle but we do plan on making notifications configurable. We have kept it this way for now because many customers tell us that notifications for Team Huddle are too subtle when they show up under in-app notifications. Do you mind telling me what medium you prefer for team huddle notifications and why?

Thanks!

Hello,

if I understood correctly, discussion in FreshDesk should be used mainly for discussing things in real time - kind of like a chat. But when an e-mail notification comes every time you write a message into a chat, it becomes sort of frustrating.

I understand that some people might prefer e-mail notifications but it would be cool if we could choose between e-mail notifications, desktop notifications or no notifications at all.

When are you planning to implement configurable notifications for discussion?

Thanks for answering,

Kristýna

With all respect, when I am QC-ing tickets in Freshdesk and see an agent in a ticket that I want to provide assistance to, starting a Discussion and having that go to their email for them to click on a Join discussion now link seems counter-productive. Managers/Supervisors should be able to immediately assist their agents who are not specifically watching their email but focused on assisting their customer/client. Agents in a ticket should get a popup in real-time that a Discussion has started and allow them to enter from that popup notification. Just my nickles worth comment.

Hello Folks,

Did you get a chance to try the Freshconnect feature?

Freshconnect lets you collaborate with internal teams as well as external partners to resolve issues quickly. Using this feature, you have the ability to turn off the email notifications as well.

The agent will also see a pop-up on the ticket when there is an active discussion.

Hope this helps!

Cheers!
