Upload videos into KB articles?

Adding a video file to better explain a Knowledge Base article is a great idea ! We currently support only embedded videos, I hope this works for you.

This is an essential feature for enterprise product support. We are Freshdesk customers who use it to support an enterprise app, and we don't want to host sensitive product information on sites like YouTube or Vimeo. At the same time, videos are an important and powerful support tool.

We would love it if we could upload videos which then inherit the same authentication policies / settings of our Freshdesk account.

Interesting speculation Mathias, although I would counter that storage is inexpensive, and I wouldn't expect Freshdesk to become the home of millions of videos.

As for self-hosting, good point. I'll give it a try. Not sure what kind of self-created embed code would work in Freshdesk though. i-frame?

We've had success uploading videos to our company's YouTube page and setting the privacy settings to only allow users in our Company's circle.

Can We play our Youtube videos in the articles?

What is the maximum image file size allowed now?

I would really appreciate it if Freshdesk allowed uploading videos, even if they capped the file size at 5 MB.  Micro videos are the wave of the future in online documentation.
