The Freshdesk feedback form is coded so that the ‘type’ field cannot be placed above the ‘description’. However, we want users to select a ‘type’ instead of a ‘subject’, so that tickets can then be automatically routed to the right person. Can Freshdesk please consider changing the code to respect the field order that we have chosen in ‘ticket fields’?

It is clunky and illogical for users to add a ‘subject’, then a ‘description’, then also need to choose a ‘type’ afterwards (so that the ticket can be routed automatically, based on the ‘type’ selected). Thank you

Hi @Matt_flew ,

I tested the order on a Help widget(under Admin->Widgets) and it does display the “Type” field above the Subject and Description fields if the order has been modified under Admin->Ticket Fields. Can you please let me know if you’re using the Help widget?

Thank you but it’s not the widget, it’s the ‘feedback form’ - sorry I should have made that clear. I contacted support before posting and they confirmed it is not possible at present to position the ‘Type’ field above the ‘details’ field. Thanks for looking at this though :)
