When merging tickets, public notes from merged ticket should be public on primary ticket

 When merging two tickets, if an entry is public in the ticket being merged, it should be public on the primary ticket as well.  Why would it need to be private if it was a public entry in the first place.  Sure, it can be copied, but when there are also a bunch of attachments, it's a real pain to have to save those all off individually, create a new public note, add all of the attachments, then delete the original private note.

In combination with duplicate tickets being generated when specific clients reply to emails sent by Freshdesk, this is quite an irritation.

it's more than an irritation - it renders the whole ticket merging process useless.


Come on Freshdesk - give us some update on this, please !
