My process is as follows:
- Source articles that are already written from sources like Word and other software product html editors.
- I prefer to convert my items into, or work in markdown format. doing this allows me to use a text editor with powerful features.
- then convert them to html.
- using "True Code View", I paste the converted file.
- shut off code view and Voila! so i thought.
My issues:
- I cannot figure out the exact html syntax. Is it liquid? Is it real markdown?
- that leads to a lot of RE-formatting which is using up a ton of time.
- Pasting directly from Word does not honor Cropped images in the editor in either "keep" or "clean" options that appear.
I would like to keep the edibility of items available in freshdesk kb, and continue to grow the kb.
How do others deal with consistency from outside sources for articles?
