Is it possible to revoke portal access for a single customer?

Best answer by Sujitha Dhanaseelan

Hello @Full Fibre Fanatic. Greetings. Thanks for reaching Freshworks community.

I understand that you want to revoke portal access for a single user, which may not be directly possible. However, you can try deleting the user, as @Jim Dumay  mentioned, if the sole purpose is to restrict them from creating tickets and checking ticket updates.

Alternatively, please check if the domain restriction might help, where you can choose which users of certain domains can create tickets or sign up. Here’s an article for your reference.

If this does not help, no worries, kindly share the use-case so we can check for alternatives.

Cheers,

I think it is really disappointing that there is no fitting solution for this. I also have a user want to revoke access from the portal. The user must not have the ability to login to the portal nor should the user see the created tickets.

Revoking access should be basic functionality!

I agree with Timg, the portal is very restricted in what it can and can’t do. We should definitely be able to very minimum restrict a person from being able to log in. Not having to delete their contact record that is attached to their history. This may actually halt us using it.

@Jim Dumay how do you Deactivate the requester, as on the contact level I do not see this option. The only option i see is change password after their portal use has been activated.

Hi Regan,

You can deactivate the Requester by opening their profile, click on the ellipses far right and select Deactivate Requester.

I don’t see this functionality in Freshdesk. I assume your screenshot is from Freshservice?

It would be great if this came to Freshdesk also.
