Hello everyone,

 

I have been scheduling exports at my workplace but they are sent as text files to my colleagues. How can I change this so that people receive a CSV or an Excel workbook instead?

Welcome to the Freshworks Community!

I understand you would like your data to be sent out as excel sheets, ideally, Freshdesk allows scheduled exports from Reports and Analytics.

If this is scheduled in the Reports section, you will be receiving them as a text file, but if you want to download your reports, you can navigate to each individual metric and share this data with your agents.

We also recommend using the Data Export option to send our .csv files to your agents, this is available from the Pro Plan in Freshdesk. But this allows you to export only the Ticket properties.

In the case of Analytics, you can only schedule .csv data from your widgets as shown in the below video, if this is set up at a Report level, you will only receive this in the pdf format -

@davidM265 The ability to support Excel format in widget exports is on our current roadmap and will be available in an upcoming release.
