I want to use multiple products with their own portal as we run several different brands.

I understand I can create a CNAME DNS record pointing to myname.freshdesk.com but is it possible to create a second name? The reason for this is I want to use the same FreshDesk account for multiple products but I can't have DNS records for Product/Brand B portal showing companyA.freshdesk.com as that would cause a lot of issues with customers knowing these two products are run by the same company. Since this companies serve to very technical customers the chance of someone finding that support.companyA.com and support.companyB.com point to the same FreshDesk domain (companyA.freshdesk.com)

Thanks!

Hello Rob,

Short answer - it is not possible to create a second name for the parent Freshdesk account. However, we can still workaround this if exposing the parent Freshdesk account (on freshdesk.com domain) is your concern.

You can support your product portals on https by purchasing a SSL certificate from us. You'd setup a CNAME record in your DNS to point each of these portals to unique ELB endpoints provided by us and not the parent Freshdesk account.

For example, if your product portal is help.rcwconsulting.ca, the CNAME record would point to some ELB endpoint like elb36.freshdesk.com.

Do you think this would help?

Cheers!
