Hey there,

 

I’ve been experiencing problems while logging in to FreshDesk via Firefox ( 99.0.1 ). When my agent tries to login it just reloads the login page. No problems occur when logging in with Edge.

 

Here’s what I tried to solve the problem:

Deleting Cookies and History (did not help)

complete new installation of Firefox (worked for 24 h)

Changing the role of the agent (worked for 24 h)

 

Here’s the real mystery: We have a Log-in-again-after-24-hours-policy in FreshDesk. 24 hours after Using the “Change role” way we experienced the same problems again.

But changing the role did not help us this time.

Resetting the password did not help, either.

Of course deleting cookies and history neither.

But this time it was not just a reload of the login page but we got this:

Is there anyone out there experiencing the same problems or can give me any idea what to try next?

Hi @Ulf ,

I see you are facing login issues with the Firefox browser. As far as we’ve seen, this could be a platform specific login error. Can you please DM us the .har file of the login so that we can check this further from our end?

You can refer to the video attached below on how you can extract the .har file from your browser and you can use any of the browser plugins to record your screen.

Added to this, please try to clear your cache and cookies and reset your agent’s password again. If it still doesn’t help, let us know, we will look into this for you.

We are seeing the issue reported bove (3 years ago) on multiple machines using Firefox.  On same machine we can log in using Chrome but not Firefox.  Forgot password also brings up error.

Have cleared the cache and cookies.  Have reset a user’s password.  Does not help.  

PCs were updated to  143.0.1 Firefox Release over the weekend. 20th Sept 2025.  

Is anyone else seeing this?

 


 

 


Seeing the same as MMB4RN.

on M3 Mac, Firefox shows ‘error’ when trying to login but works on Edge. Have cleared history, cache and cookies.


I’m also seeing the same as MMB4RN.

On Firefox I get “Error”, even in Incognito Mode, but it works fine on Chromium browsers.

I started having this issue on the morning of September 22nd, 2025.

Firefox is up to date.


Same issue on W10 Firefox sincde September 22nd, 2025.

I got it working again once by rebooting my machine? But that was a one time thing, now it never works.

Chrome works no problem. 

 

Any official fixes or communication yet?


Also getting this in Firefox 143.0.1.  Unable to login regardless of clearing all browser cache / cookies, etc. and disabling all plugins.


Seeing the same in firefox 143.0.1. Spoke to a Freshdesk support rep earlier this morning and she said they are aware of login issues with Firefox and they are looking for a fix on their side, or on Firefox's side. The obvious workaround is using another browser, which I'm doing now (Vivaldi) until this problem is resolved.


This appears to have been resolved.  I can log in via Firefox today.
