I would like to add the start timer button in the agents view material bar to reduce the number of clicks needed to start the timer without clicking on Time Entries.
Is it possible ?

Hi.
I would recommend using app AutoTimer (or any other similar).
You can set tup ticket status to make the Timer to Start and Stop automatically.
For instance, we have a Status In Process; it starts automatically the timer. And for statuses Waiting on Customer, Pending, etc., it stops the timer.
