I want to limit the possible choices in a Service Request form for our requesters to chose from.
how can i apply a filtering to a drop down element, that has “Assets” as its data source, to e.g. the Asset state?
i only see filters for Asset Type, Department and Location.
any ideas?

in the Custom field of the Service Catalog i have this dropdown to sleect an asset of type “SharePoint Site”:
as you can see, it only allws me to add conditions on Department and Location, but not on e.g. State, so that “Retired” assets are not offered to the user:
hope this depicts it sufficiently.

Can the users see assets that are retired?
Yes, all Assets are offered that meet the Asst Type Criteria, irrespective of State.
so would this be a product enhancement idea to extend the filtering capabilites for custom fields that offer asset as their data source?

ya or option to just show in stock.
