Hello,

I am looking for a way to merge 2 separate Freshdesk organisations into 1 organisation.

We've taken over a company who has also a Freshdesk subscription and now i want to migrate this subscription into out subscription.

Is this a manual thing or it there a migrationtool available?

Thanks for answering.

Hi, Ig this is something that can only be done from the backend. I suggest you contact freshdesk support regarding this.

Hi there,

I’m not sure if you can merge two Freshdesk subscriptions directly—best to contact support@freshdesk.com, as Nav_in suggests.

What you can do is merge data from two accounts under a single subscription. An automated tool like Help Desk Migration helps centralize accounts and merge:

  • Agents, Companies, Contacts, Tickets

  • Knowledge Base (Categories, Folders, Articles)

  • Business rules, Canned Responses

After merging, you can cancel the other account. Freshdesk deletes it 14 days after the subscription ends, but export your data first (can take up to 10 business days).

To cancel: Admin > Account > Account Details > Cancel account > Request cancellation. Freshdesk will guide you through the process.

You’re right—Freshdesk doesn’t support directly merging two subscriptions, so contacting support@freshdesk.com is the best first step. In the meantime, using a migration tool to merge data into one account and then canceling the other subscription is the practical and safe approach, as long as you export all data before cancellation.
