How do i set a report that shows me the last month of data

Thanks for the links. Overall i am slowly figuring it out and it seems to be more around the filtering setup. RIght now it seems i would have to set some reports manually from month to month.

Is there a way to say, report stats in just the last full month and when the next month comes around it pulls that last months info

That’s brilliant, i’ll give that a try shortly. Thanks for all your help. As for the rest of the reporting i have been doing a bit of trial and error and i understand the setup a lot more now. More than likely i might have some other questions soon :)

The below part is set but i am not able to find where i can edit the Date Range

I do have this in the filters section but it cannot be edited.

After some more probing and playing around i found the area required and also how to do it per individual widget, Thanks for all the help

Hi @MartinDG - your bottom screenshot is of the read-only view to check the filters from inside the widget to see what report-level filters are applied.

To change the report-level filter you must be out at the report tier (not inside the widget).

1. Click the [Viewing] button and it will switch to [Editing] - pardon if this is too basic but others may read these steps and wonder  :-)
2. Click Filter icon - notice there are 2 tiers - Report Filters and Page Filters

3. 

    

4. At the Report tier click inside the white box and delete the existing entries

5. 

   You may have to click Apply to set the change (not sure)

6. To add new date range - click the white box under Date Range and select    ON

7. Then pick Last Month from the next drop down box

   • To add numeric values you must press enter to get it to accept 

It occurs to me that possibly some of these features are only available at the higher end subscriptions.

So, I’m using this filtering and I’m still seeing data beyond the previous month.  If I run the report today and check the underlying data I get all of May and current to today, (24 June).

Is the trick to only run the report on the 1st of the month to only get the previous month?

I would like to schedule the report using “last month” to only include data from the previous month.  It shouldn’t matter if I run the report on the 1st or the 15th.

I don’t want to have to create custom date fields, which would require 12 reports for each customer.

I hope I’m missing something and there is a better way to do this.

The objective is to have a single scheduled report for each client that gets me the previous month data regularly.

Hi @Blair - you’re on the right track.  It’s a combo of Date Range and Scheduled Date to get the results you want to see - especially in a regular report.

If you create the filter at the Report Level and you Date Created filter ON Last Month then it should only include 1-31 May when you run it on 15 June and include only 1-30 June for a run on 15 July.

I just ran that on my own report right now (24 June) and you can see the 15 records are restricted to May (1-31).
