I am currently working on a change template and I would like to add a specific CAB (Change Advisory Board) approval to it. Can anyone guide me on whether this is possible? Additionally, if anyone has experience with customizing change templates, I’d love to hear your suggestions on how to properly integrate the CAB approval into the process. Just like how precise tailoring is crucial for creating the perfect polo shirts for my brand, I want to ensure that the approval process in the template is equally well-structured and efficient. Any advice or examples would be really helpful!

Could you somehow pick up what the template contains and make it a condition in a workflow automator? For instance Event=Change is created, Condition=Field contains *something you choose*, Action=Send Approval mail to CAB. There is of course a risk that someone will edit information given in teamplate, and then the workflow will not be triggered...

I like to use the “Tags” feature for things like this--I often use Tags as metadata to classify tickets / changes that are created using a template. I have the template set a tag, and then I have the workflow automator trigger off of the tags present in a ticket/change.

Could someone manually add that tag to “Sneak” into another CAB Approval workflow in this example by manually setting the tag? Sure, but it’s probably less likely than them editing something like the templated Subject of a change request because it’s not directly in line with the information they’re asked to fill out.
