We are looking to make vendor contact info visible to end agents who can access the contracts.  At present the only path we see is to give the agent access to the admin level “configure asset management” but that is too much access.  

Can I make the vendor contact visible, or is there a way to give agent a read only to the vendor list?

At present, accessing 'Vendors' in Freshservice requires an Admin role, which we understand might be broader than what you’re looking to provide.

As a workaround, you can create a Custom Role with minimal permissions to allow visibility into vendor details without giving full admin access. Here’s how:

  1. Go to Admin > User Management > Roles

  2. Create a custom role

  3. Under Permissions, enable only ‘Configure Asset Management’

This will grant agents access to vendor information while limiting their broader configuration capabilities.

That said, we understand the need for more granular, read-only permissions and have passed this feedback along internally as a feature request.
