Hi All.

I’m trying to improve our asset management using the Freshservice discovery probe / tools, and found out that only LAN Port MAC address captured automatically.

Since we hope this tools could be used for another improvement, we hope that we also could get the WiFi adapter MAC Address.

Is there any way we can capture WiFi adapter MAC Address using this tools?

Hello ,

We will fetch the mac address from the WMI table Win32_NetworkAdapterConfiguration for windows systems. So irrespective of the adapters, all the network adapter details will be populated in the components section of an asset in Freshservice.  So, the first adapter's mac address will be populated in the Mac Address field for an asset in Freshservice.

If the details are still not being fetched , feel free to reach out to support@freshservice.com and we will be able to help you out on the same.

Regards,

G.Adhitya

It sounds like you're looking to expand the capabilities huawei router login of the Freshservice discovery probe. Unfortunately, by default, it only captures the LAN port MAC address. However, you might want to explore custom configurations or scripts within Freshservice or reach out to their support team for any updates or hidden features that can help capture WiFi adapter MAC addresses. Integrating a custom script could also be an option to gather that specific data if supported!
