As much as possible, we’re trying to use groups or other methods, but a couple of times, we’ve directly added an agent's name to a workflow (notification, or approvals for example).  The question is, when / if that person leaves the company, how will we know that that will break a workflow?

Hi.

Just double checking, you mentioned the word “Workflow” but posted under FreshDesk.

Workflows exist in FreshService. In FreshDesk they are mostly called automations.

Are you working with FreshService or indeed with FreshDesk?

Anyway, you need to handle that manually.

When you attempt to deactivate an agent, you get the following prompt:

Best,

Thank you for that, didn’t catch that I wasn’t in the right community channel, thank you for that.  It is Freshservice that we’re working in.  I remember seeing that notification (we just went live this April).  I was just curious if there were any tricks on reporting it ahead of time.  If not, I guess we need to keep an eye on them manually through our run books.

Hi @Kamakshi V

Hope you’re doing great.

Would you mind please moving this thread accordingly to FS?

Best,

AFAIK, as of now, yes, we need to check for that manually.

I would be great to have a Dependencies report. Not sure if such Feature/Idea request is already created. You may also check for that: Freshworks Ideas | Freshworks Community

You may double check also by submitting a support ticket. I haven’t had that need yet. But, my user has the API key for all the integrations and workflows. The recommendation thou is to have a dedicated service user for that, instead of a named user exactly for this reason, but yes, this service user requires a license.

Regards,

I dont know if it would help, bu i heard you can use phython to trigger REST API calls and get data,

by that logic you could shedgule a api call to get the data and then publish it inside a dashboard.

Perhaps something to check with freshservice support.
