How can you change or delete a note in Freshservice?

 

With thousands of notes each month we are bond to get some notes that end up as public by human error or do have some uninteded information. Such errors may have critical results if not detected and fixed. But even more importantly we need a way  to clean up when it is detected.

 

Hi.

There’s a Trash icon in the notes, where you can simply click it and that note will be deleted.

 

However, there’s an app (among others) called Lockdown Ticket Responses, which will allow an Admin in your instance to prohibit deleting Notes and Responses from tickets for all agents.

If you’re not seeing the Trash icon in the Notes (or in the Replies), it’s probably there’s an app like that installed and set up in your instance.
