Hello,

You can bulk add (import) choices in dropdown ticket fields in Freshdesk. Alternatively, you can make use of the Ticket fields API for your requirements. Please refer to the documentation link for a better understanding of the same: https://developers.freshdesk.com/api/#ticket-fields

Feel free to drop an email to support@freshdesk.com for any further queries and we would be happy to help!

Cheers,

Freshdesk Community Team.

Hi,

Whether you import CSV files or transfer data from an old help desk platform, you move different custom fields apart from the dropdown. The most common ones are single-line text, multi-line text, number, dropdown, date, decimal, checkbox, etc.

Note that you can’t migrate custom fields without tickets. So, to migrate custom fields, you need to:

  1. Choose a source platform and Freshdesk.

  2. Select the data you want to import.

  3. Map agents, groups, tickets, and articles if you move any.

  4. Run a free test demo migration.

  5. Check the results of the demo migration.

Note that you need to set up custom fields prior to data migration. However, if you use a third-party app, you can create any missing custom fields while mapping tickets.

Best regards,

Tetiana
