is it possible to translate the knowledgebase automatically with a translator app?

Welcome to Freshworks community. Unfortunately, we currently do not have an option for automatic translation of the knowledge base in Freshdesk. However, you have the ability to manually add relevant translations to each article based on the supported languages configured.
