The ability to have multiple approval email templates OR being able to customise the approval message inside a Workflow automator means you can send off more information to the approvers in the initial request, rather than relying on them to go the SR online.
Use case:
We are doing lots of work with approvals built-in to workflows. It works in practice, but the Approval email people get is‘generic’ and links them to the SR being requested. Providing the approver more information and making it easier at the same time is never a bad thing.
We have found that you can customise the single approval email template quite well, but then it might not be appropriate for other approval types.
