Checklists - Conditions based on custom fields

Love the new checklist within Freshservice and great you can link these to catalog items.

 

However, it would be great you could create conditions based on custom fields that have been filled out on the items themselves and not just “Requester” and “Requester for”.

 

For example - Catalog item has dropdown for phone type.

 

If “Android” is selected chose “Android Checklist”

If “Apple” is selected chose “Apple Checklist”

Agreed we would need conditions for these to be truly  useful.  A few other concerns that also keep us from using these:

  • lack of conditions for when to apply (already noted)
  • Can’t have functional links (we often link out to a system or detailed work instruction)
  • tickets can be closed with MANDATORY checklist items undone.  Why is there even a mandatory option then???

If these 3 things can be added, then Checklists will be true boon to how we work. Until then, we labor along with the painful re-ording of tasks from workflows.
