We could really use sub folders to sort our solutions better as it is impossible to navigate through the solutions when all of the content is just a long list. Is it possible to create sub folders or are there any plans on creating this option?

Category => Folder =>

Sub Folder 1 =>

   Sub Folder 1.1

   Sub Folder 1.2

Sub Folder 2 =>

   Sub Folder 2.1

   Sub Folder 2.2

I actually enjoy the simplicity of only having 2 levels (categories and folders). At first I had similar concerns, but I like the simplicity. It encourages minimizing the complexity.

@KevinImplementing the possibility to create sub folders does not mean that you have to sacrifice the current simplicity. I would absolutely say that I can see the utilization of creating sub folders, so you can customize your solutions page to fit your work space in particular.

@Amanda+1 i totally agree

+1 for subfolders

Agreed. With a lot of articles to write and sort into categories, it either quickly fills the main pages with different choices, or creates a massive list of articles within a folder that isn't easy to navigate for someone using the knowledgebase.

I agree. I would like the option to be able to add more levels when I need it. I hope the possibility to do this is available soon.

Great news to everyone who wants this. On 3/9/2022, the Freshworks CX Newsletter included the following:

Flexible hierarchy in Freshdesk Knowledge-base

Scale your knowledge base architecture by creating additional folder levels and organizing your content in a way that works for your audience. With Flexible hierarchy, you can organize articles up to 5 levels and structure them for smoother navigation and better accessibility.

Yay! Now let’s get some Additional Fields for articles ;)

That would be great news. For some reason, I cannot find that newsletter. Do you have a link to it you could share?
