Open PDF Attachments in Browser tab (not download)

Please implement the ability to open PDF attachments in a new browser tab instead of downloading them. This is a pretty big inconvenience to have it download instead opening it in a tab. Further, this presents accessibility issues as the method for opening such attachments should be under the user’s control, based on their selected browser settings. I am quite surprised that opening PDFs in the browser is not supported by Freshdesk! Is this on the roadmap?

                It’s so frustrating when you’re dealing with a big workload, and have to be jumping back and forth tickets… that every time you wanna see the attachment again and click it, you get a new copy of the document downloaded (1), (2), (3), etc.

                    We really need this in my organization, we recently implemented  Freshservice and this has been among the top feedback requests in my organization. Consider this an upvote for this enhancement!

                      ​@alyssia.correa Hej Alyssia, this has first been raised 8 years ago and this Idea here is among the Top 10 most voted on and it’s requested for both Freshdesk and Freshservice.
                      Any update if this will be considered for your roadmap soon?

                        I was so excited when I saw something new in here.  I was hoping it was that they had added the feature.  I’d really like to see this happen.

                          its one of the top 10 ideas, makes totally sense, is just a little bit of code, the pdf will be handled by the browser, but yet noup…
